Wellbeing initiative launched by Stirling radio station

A new initiative has been launched in Stirling which will create a safe, social space for people to discuss wellbeing issues, with the added bonus of being able to contribute to a live radio show.

The Happiness Station has been set up in conjunction with Stirling City Radio’s SoulKraft Show, launched in June 2018. People can gather in the radio studio while the show is in progress to meet new people, discuss their experiences and issues, and contribute songs to the show.

Visitors will be met by studio guests – knowledgeable people in the field of physical, mental, emotional, spiritual health – and will be able to contribute to a live radio show focused on improving wellbeing and promoting positivity.

“The background to the idea is that we want to provide a positive place where people can come to relax, learn a bit about how to improve their wellbeing and meet the show’s guest – people knowledgeable in their respective wellbeing field,” founder Lauren McQuade explained.

“We’ve had people on to talk about body image, mindfulness, mental health, self compassion and much more!

“The show is for everyone with an interest in wellbeing.  We’ve been really encouraged by how it’s going, but as usual with these projects the key is getting the word out there.”

The Happiness Station is held each Wednesday evening from 6 to 8pm, at Stirling City Radio in the Stirling Arcade. Absolutely everyone and anyone is welcome!

You can follow the show on Facebook for regular updates.
