Third Sector Enterprise Find
Two weeks remaining for applications
Almost 300 organisations have applied for support from the Scottish Government’s £12 million Enterprise Fund.
The fund was launched in January to help organisations become more sustainable and increase their capacity.
It has received 296 applications, of which 87 have been successful to date. As a result of the Enterprise Fund’s success, it will close to new applications on Friday, November 13, 2009.
The Scottish Government is committed to supporting a successful Third Sector in Scotland and now looks forward to delivering the new Resilience Fund, developed with Third Sector partners, which was opened on Friday to mitigate the impacts of recession on some organisations.
Resilience Fund opens to support vital services
New support scheme opens for applications
The Scottish Government’s £1.7 million Resilience Fund to help Third Sector organisations affected by recession has opened today.
Grants of between £10,000 and £100,000 are potentially available to Third Sector organisations which can demonstrate how the economic downturn has either led to increased demand or significantly undermined their services.
Finance Secretary John Swinney said:
‘I am delighted that the Third Sector Resilience Fund is now open to applications. Third Sector organisations are working at the sharp end of the current recession. They have a vital role to play in mitigating the impact of the downturn.
‘That is why we have worked with Third Sector partners, including SCVO, to develop a fund which will help organisations to continue to deliver services whilst managing within a tighter financial climate.
