Start and Grow Programme
Resilient Scotland’s Start & Grow aim is to help community organisations looking for small investment solutions. Start & Grow will invest in enterprising community organisations, based in the eligible 13 local authority areas,* providing grant and loan packages of up to £60,000 to support development and growth. Community organisations can use the funds to help finance capital or revenue costs, including fixed asset purchases, wages, refurbishment, set up and running costs.
Why Start & Grow? :
• Simple application process
• Flexible and tailored support packages
• On-going support
• Monies repaid are re-invested in the sector
Enterprising Community organisations interested in applying should firstly complete an eligibility checklist, which is available on the Resilient website; this will take them through a series of simple questions to check if they meet the eligibility criteria.
The new fund comes from the Jessica (Scotland) Trust a £15 million independent Trust fund established by the Scottish Community Foundation with an endowment from the BIG Lottery Fund.
