Learning Support from SSE and a grant funded by Lloyds Banking Group.

 

We are extremely excited to announce that applications for our Lloyds Banking Group Social Entrepreneurs Programme are now open. 

 

If you have an idea for a project or organisation that you would like to establish, or have an existing one that you would like to scale, then read on!

 

The programme will support 150 social entrepreneurs each year, for five years, with comprehensive support from the SSE through its innovative ‘action learning’ programmes, plus grants of £4,000 and £15,000 and an annual £25,000 award:

 

–     130 ‘Start Up’ awards: grants of £4,000, and a place on a Start Up SSE learning programme delivered in eight UK locations.

 

–     20 ‘Scale Up’ awards: grants of £15,000 and a place on a Scale Up SSE learning programme delivered at SSE headquarters in London.

 

–     1 ‘Lloyds Banking Group Social Entrepreneur of the Year’ award, given to a Scale Up applicant who demonstrates outstanding potential and who will receive a total package of £25,000 to scale their organisation.

How do I apply?

 

Applications will remain open until 10am on 28th May, and should be made via our website here  If you have any questions about the application process, please contact us on 020 7089 9120.

 

When is it?

 

Both courses will start in October 2012, and will last approximately a year in duration.  This will include 12-14 direct contact days.

 

Where is it?

 

Start Up will take place in the following locations:

 

    London
    Leeds
    Across the North West
    Bristol
    Ipswich
    Cornwall
    Across Hampshire
    Edinburgh

 

 

Scale Up will take place in London, but is open to applications from across the UK.

 

Who is funding it?

 

The Lloyds Banking Group Social Entrepreneurs Programme has been made possible thanks to a major funding commitment from Lloyds Banking Group and additional investment from Nominet Trust.

 

Start Up

 

If you are at an early stage in the development of your project or organisation, the ‘Start Up’ programme will support you in personal development and business skills development to help turn your project or project idea into a reality.
