Social Vision photography competition 2011

Social Vision photography competition 2011

The search is on for the photos which best capture the spirit and impact of the thriving social enterprise market.

Since 2009 the competition has set out to find images that show the unique and transformative work of social enterprise. Now in its fourth year, the photography competition is run by Triodos Bank and Social Enterprise UK in association with Social Enterprise Live.

Awards and Prizes

This year there are two award categories: the people’s vote and overall winner. There are a number of prizes at stake for the two winners. They are:

cash prize of £500 for the winning photographer
cash prize of £500 for the winning social enterprise
one year’s membership of Social Enterprise Live and £1,000 worth of online advertising
one year’s free membership of Social Enterprise UK (excluding the Republic of Ireland)
entry tickets to Voice 12 (two for each winner).

Who is eligible to enter?

The competition is open to social enterprises only.

Social enterprises are businesses trading for social and environmental purposes. Put simply they use the power of business to address some of society’s most pressing challenges – and when they profit, society profits. Social enterprises are a diverse and vibrant group of businesses driven by social and environmental objectives and are not limited by size, shape, scope or geography.

If you’re working for a social enterprise, take a photo that shows us what you do and the story behind the image. Photos submitted must be taken by an amateur photographer.

Winning photos, together with regional short-listed pictures will be used to compile a 2012 calendar.
