Health SEN session on ‘The Power in our Communities: Catalyst for Change'

Date and Time of Event:  22/06/2021 at 2:00 pm

DETAILS:

In partnership with Outside the Box, we are hosting a Health SEN session that is one of several events continuing the conversation on what is needed to build upon the work of communities during the pandemic and ensure we don’t lose the power of communities as we move forward.

This session is for SEN members and social enterprises involved or interested in developing more sustainable care and wellbeing solutions within Scotland’s communities. At this session we will explore what social enterprises need in their role to support this.

This Health SEN session contributes to series of events supported by Healthcare Improvement Scotland including those listed below, which you may also find useful, particularly the Celebrating Communities Session.

Celebrating Communities Session (Tues 15th June, 9.30am-12.30pm)

Participants will hear from NESTA, Outside the Box, Corra Foundation, Scottish Care and the ihub on the wealth of learning captured from the last year. They will share their thoughts on what will be most important if we are going to retain and strengthen the power in our communities. Register here.

Workshops for people living in communities and people working in community based organisations. (Tues 15th June, 2pm or Thur 17th June, 10.30am)

Facilitated by Outside the Box, the purpose of these sessions is to build upon the work of communities during the pandemic. They will explore different ways of working and collaborating with Health and Social Care Partnerships. Register for Tues workshop or Thur workshop.

Workshop for people who work in Health and Social Care Partnerships. (Tues 15th June, 2pm)

Facilitated by Healthcare Improvement Scotland this session will offer H&SCP staff the opportunity to explore how they work in partnership with communities. Register here.

The views and ideas from the Health SEN session and the other workshops will be produced into a report showing how we can work differently and how to develop and sustain partnership and collaborative working between communities and Health and Social Care Partnerships.
