About

The Tourism Social Enterprise Network (SEN) includes a wide range of social enterprises from across Scotland involved in the tourism sector - from accommodation providers to theatres to outdoor pursuits.

Accessible tourism, activity tourism, community-led tourism, marketing, events, ancestral tourism and the ever-increasing demand from visitors to spend locally are just some of the themes included in SEN meetings and events.

Visitor spend within tourism social enterprises comes with additional value for both the visitor and the deliverer in that the profits are re-invested to provide positive community or environmental impacts and the visitor receives an added ‘feel good’ factor.

As with the other thematic SENs, the Tourism SEN connects with national partners, improving understanding of the issues affecting social enterprises in the tourism industry and ultimately improving the support structure for the sector.

A monthly Culture and Tourism Newsletter is available to anyone interested in the SEN and SEN members are invited to take part in meetings and networking events.
