SE Conference – Collaborating towards a Sharing Economy

Hosted by Senscot, in partnership with Social Firms Scotland, Community Enterprise with support from Scottish Community Alliance.

Our SE Conference 2017 takes place this year once again at the Westerwood Hotel, near Cumbernauld. The event will run over two days – Thursday 7th and Friday 8th December 2017.

The programme is being designed around the theme of ‘Collaboration’ – collaborating to deliver wider services; collaborating to grow; collaborating to bid for public sector contracts; and collaborating for a stronger voice both locally and nationally for grassroots social enterprises. We will be including some old favourites – speed networking; showcases; and a revamped Dragons’ Den – but also introducing newer initiatives such as a bespoke support programme for community-based enterprises and a new sector-led community loan fund. One of the main sessions will revolve around the SE Action Plan and the role locally-based social enterprises can play in delivering on its objectives – including senior civil servants from specific policy areas.
