The Pitstop Community Facility is the social enterprise arm of the Loganlea Miners’ Charitable Society (LMCS), offering a variety of services to the people of Addiewell, Loganlea and the surrounding area.
LMCS has been at the heart of the local Addiewell community for decades, with many of the village’s 1,700 population registered as members.
The aim of the Pitstop and LMCS is to improve the facilities and services available to this former mining community through income generation – all profits from the Pitstop are put back into the charity to improve and expand upon the services provided.
The community café provides a range of hot and cold food, barista coffee and free Wi-Fi, with a number of personal development services run from the café to benefit the community, including: councillor surgeries, job clubs, youth action services and credit unions.
Office space and hot desking opportunities are also available at Pitstop, with flexible rates available as well as managed services such as bookkeeping and printing.
Pitstop also boasts event rooms for hire and can cater for a range of events from birthday parties and weddings to corporate events.
Also onsite is the LMCS social club, a licenced bar which is open four nights a week to serve the local community.
