The Atholl Centre is a community venue which functions as a conference and holiday centre in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
A well-equipped venue for education, training and networking events, the Atholl Centre is an accessible home from home for guests of all ages, able-bodied, disabled or disadvantaged.
A faith-based organisation, the Atholl Centre describes itself as a place where “individuals can experience practical Christian love and be better prepared for life through training, bridge-building and refreshment”.
The Centre operates as a social enterprise, with all profits ploughed back into providing better service through improvements in structure and facilities and into supporting less able, less advantaged and chronically ill users of our service through subsidies.
With 11 bedrooms, the Atholl Centre can accommodate up to 35 people, while several meeting rooms are available for events – including a conference room with capacity for 60 delegates.
An accessible, multi-purpose dining room can seat up to 100, with other breakout spaces available on request. These rooms are included in residential group bookings or available for hire separately by day groups both from the local community and from further afield.
The adjoining church sanctuary is available subject to arrangement with the church, seating 130.
The Atholl Centre is specially designed to accommodate disabled guests. Push button automatic entry is provided, while all ground floor entrances are ramped. There are six accessible bedrooms which are all en-suite, two for ambulant disabled and four wheelchair-friendly – three of which include a disabled-friendly kitchen space. The Centre also caters for special diets.
The Centre can be used as a respite holiday destination and, while no carers are provided, staff will put visitors in touch with local organisations who can provide specialised carers.
