Procurement Reform Bill Consultation Event

Procurement Reform Bill Consultation Event
Social Firms Scotland
04.10.12

Scottish Government is currently consulting around the Procurement Reform Bill which will establish a national legislative framework for sustainable public procurement that supports Scotland’s economic growth. The consultation document demonstrates the Government’s ambition that public procurement can deliver further economic, social and environmental benefits, support innovation and promote processes and systems which are transparent, responsive, fair and social enterprise-friendly.

Social Firms Scotland, along with our partners Senscot and Social Enterprise Scotland, have organised 2 events to consider and debate the current Bill objectives and to seek the views of social enterprises.  The consultation is your opportunity to shape the Bill; Government have stressed that responses will play a key role in the Bill’s development.

Please join us on October 9th in Glasgow or 16th October in Inverness (this event is supported by HISEZ).  Registration from 10.00am, event 10.30 – 12.30 for both events.

The event is free, to book your place or for more information please email Jayne (jayne.chappell@socialfirms.org.uk) or call 0131 225 4178
