Call for contributions – crowd funding needed to support local social change makers

The need to recognise community and togetherness is never stronger than when times are hard. Local economies and relationships rely on good will and collaboration with others in order to prosper and develop. When we all come together it is amazing how far one person’s contribution, multiplied, can go.

The Melting Pot is calling on local people and organisations in SE Scotland to contribute to a unique prize for social change organisations. Their comprehensive year-long programme of support will assist 10 non-profit organisations based in Edinburgh, Midlothian and Fife, helping them to develop and grow. The ‘Social Innovation Incubation Award’ will provide its winners a range of services and resources – all donated through a public/private sector partnership, and corporate sponsorship.

Collaborators can donate anything from the price of a pizza upwards. In so doing you will be helping a local social-change organisation transform the area which you live – whilst being acknowledged in the process. Now is never a better time to dig, no matter how deep!  Get involved – invest in and help create real local social change.
