We’re delighted to announce this year’s Social Enterprise Conference and Ceilidh will be taking place once again at New Lanark on 15th/16th November. This year – our 8th – we will be joined by 12 colleagues from the social enterprise community in Northern Ireland. We’ll be working on this year’s programme over the next couple of weeks and will have booking forms available shortly. We expect demand to be as high as ever so the sooner you book your place the better. If you want to get in early, email firstname.lastname@example.org Priority will be given, as always, to SEN members. Like last year, we’ll also be charging a nominal fee of £30.
We’ve reserved 20 ‘early bird’ places at this year’s CEiS event on 5th Sept in Glasgow for SEN members (£95 + VAT). A few places are still available. If you’re interested, contact email@example.com . See programme, www.se-networks.net/shownotice.php?articleid=729.

Community Food SEN members will be interested in (and already aware of) the new food manifesto launched by the Fife Diet this week. The manifesto – which is their contribution to the food and drink policy framework – has 3 primary aims: to connect the way we grow, produce, distribute and consume our food with our climate change targets; to connect the environmental policy framework to our health and well-being initiatives; and to look afresh at the values that underpin how we organise our food economy. See full manifesto, www.se-networks.net/shownotice.php?articleid=736.

In June, a joint networking event was hosted by Stirling and Clacks SENs. This was the first step towards connecting up three SENs across the Forth Valley to explore opportunities for working together collaboratively. The event itself proved to be a big success with 34 representatives from social enterprises and intermediaries attending. Here’s their Report, www.se-networks.net/shownotice.php?articleid=731.
