The Social Enterprise Exchange (a coming together of the S2S and Voice Conferences) takes place on Tuesday 27 March 2012 at the SECC in Glasgow. Senscot has negotiated 100 places for SEN members at the discounted rate of £50 (normally £95). Congratulations to Edinburgh SEN which next week formally launches its new website – dedicated to the promotion and support of social enterprise in the Capital. The website includes a directory of social enterprises in the city, with the aim of encouraging more people to use and buy from them. The site also highlights and signposts individuals and organisations to a range of support services and resources. To find out more, visit

Senscot Legal (SL), this month, passed a landmark by engaging with its 100th client since it began trading at the start of this year. During this time, it has provided a range of services that include company formation and structures; employment matters; company policy advice; and property/leasing. In the new year, Senscot Legal will also be offering short two hour modules on all of the above. The Just Enterprise Consortium is also delivering a series of Leadership Programmes that will be getting underway in Feb 2012. These are designed for third sector managers and aspiring leaders and will include support and insight from peers and tutors (from the Social Enterprise Academy) to build your confidence and knowledge of leadership. The 6 day programmes will be run in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness with 20 places available on each programme. See,

SOCIAL AUDIT NETWORK: The Social Audit Network (SAN) is an international network of practitioners who are actively involved in social accounting and audit.  Exploration in methods of social accounting has many roots in Scotland and was originally a way for community businesses to fully account for the social, environmental and local economic performance and impact.  Over the years it has been modified through actively working with social and community enterprises.  SAN in Scotland (SANiS) is planning a new initiative to increase awareness and the practice of social accounting and audit.  See more,

CARING CHRISTMAS TREES is up and running again this year. So far over 1300 trees have been sold. You can get them in Glasgow (Impact Arts); Aberdeen, Fife and Edinburgh (Bethany); and Paisley (Kibble). All profits made from the tree sales go to support local charities working with local people.
