Networks1st Update: 9th January 2009

Voice 09 is the main UK wide jamboree for the social enterprise sector and last year Senscot organised a delegation from the Networks down to Liverpool. This year the event will be held in Birmingham on 10th /11th February and, with the support of Scottish Government, we intend to organise a similar delegation from Scotland. This is a project developed by the Children’s Orchard – a small and blossoming social enterprise. John is looking for people’s ideas on how to make this really fulfil its potential – which is social, environmental and cultural. For more information check out http://www.commonwealthorchard.comNorth Lanarkshire Council is tendering a contract to apply a social return on investment (SROI) model to organisations involved in the health and employability field in four local authority areas, with the intention of producing four case studies and a bench marking framework which could be applied to other health and employability projects in other areas. The application deadline for this piece of work is 30/01/2009.
