Some good news for Re-Union. They have recently received two generous donations from Edinburgh Quay Ltd and the EDI Group to increase their work on the canal in west Edinburgh and at Edinburgh Quay in the city centre. The donations will enable Re-Union to have a broader mix of social and cultural activities and also help increase visitor and volunteer numbers. For more, see 3rd `Fit for Purpose` Conference will be taking place at the Story-telling Centre in the Royal Mile in Edinburgh on 3rd March 2009. We will have the full programme available next week. Here`s some background info` Den contestant Motor-Vation Community Cars from Clackmannanshire has also received some good news this week. They have secured a contract with Clackmannanshire Council to deliver safety presentations, practical training and assessments to over 500 council employees. Motor-Vation only recruited a driving advisor a month ago so this is an excellent start to their new venture. They are also providing advanced driver training for RECAP in Cumbernauld as a result of contact made during the Speed Trading at the Ceilidh.Martin Cappell said ‘all the enthusiastic people I met at the Ceilidh made me realise just what was possible with a bit of effort and that really motivated us to go for the contract’.Network NoticesEdinburgh SEN member Re-Union Canal Boats has the perfect venue for your unique Christmas event!
