Networks1st Update: 17th April 2008

The Single Interface programme started in March 2008 with an announcement from the Scottish Government that it would no longer fund the networks of the CVS’s, the VC’s, the LSEPs and the LSENs in their current form, from April 2011. These changes will have a significant impact on the future of the Third Sector and the launch of Voluntary Action Scotland is perhaps a sign of this change already taking place. At a local level the feedback from the LSENs about their involvement is mixed and the Single Interface will be one of the main topics on the agenda at the next LSEN Reps meeting on 6th May. You can find out more here. The next LSEN Reps meeting is being held in the boardroom of Positive Action in Housing (PAiH) at 98, West George Street, Glasgow on the 6th May 2009 from 10.30 – 2pm. Directions can be found here: http://www.paih.org/About/Contact-Us.html. Reps will receive an invite to the meeting shortly and we’re hoping for a strong turnout. Attached is a draft agenda which LSENs are welcome to add to. https://senscot.net/view_news.php?viewid=8038S2S takes place next Thursday (23rd April) at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh.
