Networks1st Update: 11th April 2008

As agreed at the last Networks` Rep meeting, Senscot have booked a Stand at S2S to give Social Enterprise Networks, who aren’t able to get one of their own, a presence at Scotland’s biggest social enterprise trade fair. We expect there will be space for around 5 different SENs to share the Stand. There may be an opportunity for those on the Stand to access reduce delegate fees, so if you haven’t booked already let us know. Any Social Enterprise Network who would like to take advantage of the Networks 1st Stand should contact colin@senscot.netThe relaunched Glasgow SEN for front line social entrepreneurs will take place on Friday 25th of April. RBS have kindly offered to provide a venue for the meeting at Kirkstane House, 139 St Vincent Street, Glasgow G2 5JF, from 10.30 to 12.30 and a networking lunch till 1.30. Susan Aktemel of Impact Arts has put together a calendar of bi-monthly meetings to make sure everyone will have future meetings in their diaries. This first meeting will discuss the aims of the Network and what people think are the key issues for social entrepreneurs in Glasgow. The numbers will be limited so if you want to be at this meeting contact Susan ASAP, closing date for the new Network Development Officer is Monday 14th April at 5pm. Interviews should take place on 22nd April and we’re hoping that our new colleague will be out on the road by the middle of May. This half-day course designed specifically for social enterprises in conjunction with Grayling Public Affairs Learn how about the Scottish Parliament can work for you to Enterprise` is looking for referrals.
