Accessible tourism, activity tourism, marketing, events and more.

The Tourism Social Enterprise Network (SEN) is the newest of our thematic networks. Originally a subgroup of the Cultural and Creative SEN, the work has gradually increased presenting more opportunities in areas such as accessible tourism, activity tourism, marketing, events, ancestral tourism and the ever-increasing demand from visitors to spend locally.

There is a great range of social enterprises working within tourism across Scotland- from accommodation providers to theatres to outdoor pursuits. Tourism spend with those organisations comes with additional value for both the visitor and the deliverer in that the profits are re-invested to provide positive community or environmental impacts and the visitor receives an added ‘feel good’ factor.

The Tourism SEN will remain under the remit of the Cultural Roundtable- individuals strategically placed to help develop and support the social enterprise tourism sector. For more information on the Cultural Roundtable see the dedicated page.
