The Sport network supports a range of sport and physical activities.

The main purpose of the Sport SEN is to facilitate networking and provide opportunities for peer support and learning & development.  The Sport SEN is keen to welcome new organisations from across Scotland who deal with sport and physical activity.

As with the other thematic SENs, the Sport SEN has a roundtable of individuals strategically placed to help develop and support the sport social enterprise sector.

The list below is of full members of the Sport SEN.

Safeguarding is always an important issue and while planning for re-opening facilities and re-starting activities, considerations must be given to safeguarding requirements.  Children will have faced differing experiences during lockdown and it’s important to recognise that many children and young people will need supported, re-assured and encouraged back into sport and physical activity.

Many organisations have used online delivery methods, and this is likely to continue into the future, even when facilities reopen.  It remains more important than ever to be aware of safeguarding and child protection issues.
