Registered in January 2019, Recovery Enterprises Scotland is an innovative community interest company with a social conscience. At Recovery Enterprises Scotland we aim to work with communities to tackle social issues such as poverty, isolation, and equitable access to support.
The directors have been integral to developing and delivering a range of co-produced recovery projects. The added value has been exceptional, reaching a number of individuals not known to services. This learning has been the driver in establishing the company in taking a more independent approach in delivering models enhancing peoples quality of life and tackling inequalities.
The organisational vision is supporting the needs of individuals, family and members of the local community looking to engage in, support and sustain recovery from multiple barriers; particularly engaging with those affected by imprisonment, addiction, homelessness and mental health.
This being achieved through delivering a blended model, incorporating peer support to individuals in developing their recovery capital, improving resilience as a means of sustaining recovery and integrating into their local communities.
Our Mission is to improve the quality of lives of people seeking recovery from alcohol, drugs, offending, homelessness and mental health issues; this being delivering through the following proposed activities within prison, residential, homeless and community settings:
Running a social café focussing on the community, providing affordable meals and catering services;
Providing volunteering opportunities and access to skills development training to allow people to upskill; moving into employment and further education;
Offering a space that encourages community engagement by service providers responding to local needs
