Fife Social Enterprise Network (FSEN) was the first local social enterprise network to start up. The first meeting took place in 2004 at Furniture Plus in Dysart and they continue to hold regular meetings.
Several of the members came together in 2011 to develop a pilot, employing a Volunteer Co-ordinator, to develop opportunities within social enterprises in Fife. Having recently decided to become constituted and having a FSEN representative on the board of Fife TSI, FSEN are becoming involved at a strategic level furthering opportunities for their members.
In 2005 Social Value Lab have produced a Fife Social Enterprise mapping on behalf of Fife Council. The document researches 167 Social Enterprises across Fife with a total income of £26.9m.
