The Cyrenians Farm is a social enterprise. Cyrenians Charity supports people excluded from community, work, family and housing. Candidates for this post must show compassion, tolerance, respect and understanding to people from all walks of life
To assist with farm duties for the enterprise activity, including propagating, growing and maintaining crops, harvesting and packing fresh produce and general farm maintenance including grass cutting.
To assist with hosting volunteers and visitor groups including preparing lunches.
To adhere to all Cyrenians policies and procedures; in particular to adhere to and promote good practice regarding volunteers, confidentiality, Health and Safety of self, colleagues, volunteers and service users; and equality of opportunity.
To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be expected to fulfill the role.
Participate in 6 weekly support and supervision.
Attend external operational meetings and events as deemed relevant by service manager.
Attend Cyrenians staff forums.
Interest and experience in horticulture/agriculture
Able and willing to carry out physical work in all weather conditions
Able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
Good team player
Previous experience of working within voluntary sector
Respects confidentiality of personal matters pertaining to service users, volunteers and colleagues
Can do attitude
