Glasgow Community Food Network Update

18th December 2019

The latest opportunities to connect with GCFN:

1. Glasgow City Food Plan. Work is underway with partners across Glasgow to co-develop the Glasgow City Food Plan. This ambitious and exciting piece of work will pave the way for healthy, sustainable and locally sourced food to be affordable and accessible to all. People from across the community sector, public health, local authority, NHS, private and public sectors are involved. If you’d like to find out more about the Glasgow City Food Plan and how you can be involved, email to arrange for someone to come and speak to your group.

2. Community Food Social. The first community food social, held in November was a huge success. The next one is on Thursday 30th January, 7-9pm at The Project Cafe. No agenda – come to share your challenges and successes, network, make connections and support each other. BYO food and drink (alcohol ok too!); teas, coffees and cake available to purchase. Look out for the event pages on our social media!

Don’t forget – membership of GCFN is free and open to all organisations delivering any kind of community food work in Glasgow. Join us to make your voice heard and help shape Glasgow’s food system.
