A one day course (minimum of 6 hrs teaching) for anyone working in catering or the provision of meals. The course outlines good practice for food handlers to implement in the work place.
We deliver high quality training by qualified tutors. The course costs £65+VAT per person, or £50+VAT for Cyrenians Community Food Members.
The course is a nationally recognised qualification accredited by the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS). Participants will be issued a certificate on successful completion of the test. The certificate is valid for 3–5 years.
The course will cover:
- Basic bacteria
- Food poisoning
- Personal hygiene
- Working environment
- Cleaning practices
- Pest control
- Basic legislation
A light lunch will be provided and there will also be two coffee breaks throughout the day.
