A family-friendly music festival celebrating it’s 20th anniversary this year, Knockengorroch World Ceilidh is situated in it’s own upland glen surrounded by mountain, forest and a river running alongside the site in the stunning Galloway hills of Scotland’s south west.
2018’s festival runs from 24th to 27th May. Organised by Knockengorroch CIC our remit is to bring great music to Galloway and by so doing, support the cultural, economic and social infrastructure of Dumfries & Galloway.
A diverse range of musical genre is presented, from folk music to electronica, world class fusion acts to late night dance music with many ‘world’ music acts appearing this year including Transglobal Underground with original vocalist Natacha Atlas, Ezza playing Saharan blues and les Amazones d’Afrique from West Africa taking up the cause of women’s rights throughout the world.
