Climate Emergency Summit 11: Climate Change – Culture Change

Event Details

Date:

Creative Scotland are sponsoring the latest in a series of highly successful Climate Emergency Summits being convened by the Royal Scottish Geographical Society. We would greatly appreciate your participation and insight at this event.

This Summit will be the eleventh in the series that brings practitioners together to share their experience and identify practical solutions to the climate emergency under the particular topic for the Summit. These Summits result in recommendations directly to Cabinet Secretary level within the Scottish Government and other influential individuals and organisations. Creative Scotland itself are keen to contribute to, and learn from, the Summit to help us to shape our thinking on a zero carbon strategy for our sector. You can find out more and see the reports from previous Summits here.

The events are fast paced and participatory and usually bring between 50 and 100 practitioners together to identify solutions through a collaborative, workshop structure. For this event we are keen to invite participants from across the full range of creative communities in Scotland. Alongside breakout discussions there will be a number of ‘5 min provocations’ from leading thinkers from our community and those with expertise on the climate emergency. These are designed to inform discussion, challenge convention and encourage people to focus on solutions to the climate emergency.

To register I would be grateful if you would contact my colleague katrina.strachan@rsgs.org to book your place. You will receive a Zoom link a few days before the event itself.
