Enterprising Third Sector Organisations Zone
Scottish Government has set up the above zone on the Third Sector Division pages of the Scottish Government website. It outlines all support available to third sector organisations through the Enterprising Third Sector Action Plan. This includes support on business development, public sector procurement, opening markets and demonstrating added value.
The zone can be accessed here: http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/People/15300/enterprising-organisation
Please forward this link to any contacts in the third sector.
Two key areas of work to highlight are:
1. Public-Social-Partnerships (PSP) project
PSPs are a means of delivering better services through developing partnerships between public and third sectors to co-design and pilot the delivery of a service that is able to maximise social benefits.
Through the Enterprising Third Sector Action Plan, the Scottish Government is funding a project to develop 10 PSPs in Scotland from November this year until March 2011. The project is being run by a consortium of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and social enterprise Forth Sector.
Proposals are now being sought (over the next 10 weeks) to identify a range of pilots that will benefit from support from this project. Details about the project (and how to apply to be one of the supported partnerships) are available from: http://www.pspscotland.co.uk/
Please find attached a helpful summary of the project. Please circulate the flyer across key networks and contacts in the public and third sectors who might be interested in the PSP model. If you have any questions about the PSPs, or this project, please contact:

2. Public Contracts Scotland
Any organisations interested in delivering public sector services should register for the Public Contracts Scotland portal: http://www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk. Registering means that you will automatically be made aware of contract opportunities for the theme(s) in which you have expressed an interest.
