Background

The Enterprise Ready Fund is a Scottish Government funded programme which will distribute up to £6M from 2013 to 2015 to help maintain, develop and grow Scotland’s enterprising third sector.

The Fund will provide grants of up to £250K to support the long-term development objectives of new, emerging and established enterprising third sector organisations in Scotland, with an annual income of up to £5M.

Aim

Through this investment, the Enterprise Ready Fund will support organisations to achieve the following outcomes:

be in a strong financial position and be less reliant on grant funding
be more innovative, self-sustainable and operate as robust, flexible, efficient and growing businesses
be best placed to win more contracts, including with the public sector
be able to engage in coproduction (using service users and representatives in the third sector to design services) and service (re)design (in particular using the Public Social Partnership model)
apply social benefits in the supply chain and in responding to contracts containing Community Benefit Clauses
be best placed to take advantage of new business opportunities and replicate new business models
be able to develop products and services and diversify into new markets
possess the skills and ability to develop their businesses and improve self sustainability
be more likely to succeed and advance through the growth ‘pipeline’
