DTA Scotland is recruiting for two Edinburgh based posts and we wanted to let our members and supporters know directly and  therefore have the opportunity to apply or pass the details on.  Also below, is infomation on a post from Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust who are recruiting for a Chief Executive.

Development Officer  (full time, 35 hours): £29,742- £32,288 + pension
Fixed term to 31st Mar 2015 (Ref: DOFT13)
Providing support and advice to DTAS member organisations and promoting the development trust approach.

and also

Community Ownership Support Service Adviser (part time – 17.5 hours): £14,871- £16,144 + pension Fixed term to 31st Mar 2015 (Ref: CAPT13)
Providing support and advice to community based organisations and public agencies on the sustainable transfer of assets (land and buildings) into community ownership.

Up to £35k : Permanent – Full time

We led the community buyout of our island and are passionate and energetic about creating our future together. We are looking for someone equally passionate and committed to work with us in creating that future. You will be the most senior employee reporting to the Board of the Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust.

You would support and manage our employees engaged in a broad range of work areas including setting and managing budgets, source funding and lead community projects, generating renewable energy, managing our 3500 acre estate; including significant housing stock and an ongoing maintenance and refurbishment programme, protecting our natural and historic heritage and helping to create a good quality of life for our island residents.

To thrive in this newly created role, you will be able to demonstrate personal qualities that will be an asset to our organisation and you will be familiar with:

• working at or near Chief Executive level
• financial planning and management
• business development
• developing staff and organisational capacity
