Community Jobs Scotland: start date announced
Community Jobs Scotland will start in August 2011 and will be delivered in partnership, by the Scottish Social Enterprise Coalition and SCVO. Community Jobs Scotland is aimed at creating jobs for young unemployed people aged 16 – 24 who are disadvantaged in Scotland’s current labour market. It will also provide an opportunity for a cohort of unemployed people aged 25+ (including lone parents) in areas with high levels of unemployment.
Only voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises will be eligible to become employers. SSEC Coalition representatives are currently working with SCVO to design a programme that will deliver quality jobs and training, with wrap-around support and provision; and sustainable jobs. Social enterprises can now express an interest in getting involved at: firstname.lastname@example.org
