Community Jobs Scotland launches for fifth year

Employer applications will be accepted from Monday 15 June 2015.
There are two exciting developments we want to highlight to you:
Firstly, our employer processes are moving to an online system. We realise this is different to what you might be used to but it has been designed to make things quicker and easier for you. We will do our best to support you through each stage of the new process.
Secondly, for the first time we will be able to offer some flexibility in funding available to employers. This will take two forms:
• Living Wage: if you are a living wage employer, and are committed to paying your Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) employees at least the living wage, you can access additional funding to support this.
• Extensions for vulnerable groups: Employers who have taken on a vulnerable young person will be able to apply for a limited number of 3 or 6 month contract extensions if, towards the end of their contract, there is clear evidence that the individual would benefit from a longer period in the job. These extensions will be awarded on a case-by-case basis towards the end of the standard contract length.
