Are you involved in running a café in a local community (geographical or shared interest) run for local people and/or by local people? Community Food and Health Scotland wants to hear from you!
CFHS is working with Senscot and café networks across Scotland. We want to highlight the contribution that cafes make in supporting communities’ health and wellbeing, and find out what would help make sure cafes in communities are, and continue to be, seen as valuable assets and sustainable.
We would be grateful if you could take part in our survey to help us with this. Please complete our short survey here.
CFHS and Newcastle University are hosting a community cafe event on Friday 1st March, in Edinburgh. More details will follow. If you would like to know more, please get in touch.
The event will feature findings from the Newcastle University report on research from the REfUSE community café in Newcastle, Identifying Social and Community Impacts in the work of community cafes. You can access the report here. The event will also look at the work CFHS did last year with six cafes on self-evaluation. You can find out about this work on the CFHS website.
