Common Cause Workshop: Values and Frames
Common Cause for Scotland
Cultural values are central to ways each of us thinks about and responds to the problems facing communities and the world. A growing body of work under the banner ‘Common Cause’, led by a number of NGOs and advised by international academics, argues that the approaches adopted by many organisations to communicating and engaging with people about these problems are ineffective.
Even worse, they may actually be undermining the very causes they, and we, care about. Much of the work so far has focussed on the environment and international development, but it is equally relevant to other values-based organisations, including the social enterprise movement.
A one day workshop is being held in Edinburgh on the 25th April. Registration, and links to a range of reports here
