In its 8th year, CEIS Annual Conference is seen as the definitive conference in Scotland for social enterprise. This pre-referendum social enterprise conference will highlight the advances and significant learning points in the past year. We have a stimulating programme with outstanding networking opportunities for social enterprises and supporters of social enterprise.
This year’s event will feature presentations from Yvonne Strachan, Head of Equalities, Human Rights and Third Sector Division, Scottish Government and Rachael McCormack, Strengthening Communities Director, Highlands & Islands Enterprise who will look at developing a strategic approach for the Third Sector, where delegates will be invited to share their visions and ambitions for social enterprise for the next 10 years.
Back by popular demand, we will hear from social enterprises from the Senscot network, including The Experience, Greyfriars Tartan, Velocity Café and Bodysurf Scotland, each of which has a significant development or major accomplishment to highlight.
Warren Bader, CEO, Plan Bee and Matthew Roberts, Head of Sustainability, Landmarc Support Services will explore the opportunities through social value and responsible purchasing, while we also take the time to look at the lessons to be learned from business failures and focus on how early engagement can assist with business recovery.
Finally, with the Commonwealth Games still in our minds, we will hear the experiences and the sporting legacy they have left for social enterprises.
As an event supporter, Senscot has secured 25 discounted passes at £50+VAT for the event, which will take place in Glasgow on Wednesday 3rd September. To take advantage of this discount, please email Kim firstname.lastname@example.org.
