Brief to Deliver Social Enterprise Support Services

Brief to Deliver Social Enterprise Support Services
Edinburgh Social Enterprise Network
21.04.11

Introduction

Constituted as a Community Benefit Company, the Edinburgh Social Enterprise Network (ESEN) is a network of over 20 social enterprises operating in Edinburgh. Established in 2005, the original aim of the Network was to provide networking and peer support to its members. One of three partners within the Third Sector Interface in Edinburgh, ESEN has received funding from the Scottish Government (via the Single Interface) to deliver social enterprise support in Edinburgh (see revised work plan for details). The other interface partners are EVOC and the Edinburgh Volunteer Centre.

In order to deliver its agreed work plan for 2011/12, ESEN’s management group proposes to appoint suitable contractors to deliver specific one-year work packages on its behalf. Contractors would have the opportunity to deliver one or more of the work packages, depending on their experience and track record. Where appropriate to do so, ESEN would welcome tenders from its members in the first instance. Further subcontract opportunities would be available for ESEN members, which are likely to include web design and maintenance, catering and room hire.

The work packages for which invitations to tender are being invited are:

A: Co-ordination and Administration
B: Line-management and Desk Space
B: Business Support
C: Marketing

The closing date for submissions is 29th April 2011.
