Home Supported Living Services

Home Supported Living Services` aim is to offer a wide and comprehensive range of services, on a non profit-making basis to people of any age with disabilities and to the over 60’s.

Their services are tailor-made to the individual needs of each client and are designed to keep people as independent as possible in their own homes.

Home Supported Living was formed in 1999. It was the idea of a group of people with a  background in sheltered housing, community nursing, social work and caring for members of their own elderly families. During this initial period an application was put to the Inland Revenue in Scotland to apply for Charitable Status—this was granted in May 2000.

This made Home Supported Living a registered Charity and therefore a non profit making organisation.

Home Supports whole ethos is to support older people and people with disabilities of any kind to remain independent and part of the community where they belong.
This is done by providing support through community alarms with mobile area warden support and home care services

In conjunction with Hanover Careline and their switchboard and community alarms our Community Mobile Wardens can respond quickly and effectively 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

At present Home Support has a client base of around 250 people. Clients are spreads through East Dunbartonshire, Glasgow, East Renfrewshire, North Lanarkshire and into West Dunbartonshire.

Home Supported Living employ around 10 full time staff and approximately 25 part time staff.
