Glasgow Bike Station

Glasgow Bike Station

Glasgow Bike Station (GBS) will be moving premises at the end of March 2012 to – 65 Haugh Road, Glasgow G3 8TX. Having operated from premises at the Barras market for the last couple of years, they’re delighted to have found more spacious accommodation.

The Glasgow Bike Station joins with the Edinburgh and Perth Bike Stations, offering bike recycling, cycle training, workshop facilities and cycle promotion. They are already running weekly sales of reconditioned bikes and Fix Your Own Bike sessions.

As well as re-locating, this month has also been a significant in that GBS picked up First Prize at Scottish Green List National Awards, see here and was also granted £450 000 by the Climate Challenge Fund for their A Better Way To Work project: See here

GBS provides a range of services for employers to promote cycling and sustainable transport. They work with voluntary organisations, schools and youth groups providing everything from cycle training, guided bike rides, fleets of bicycles, training and events.
For the individual, all three Bike Stations sell fully-reconditioned bicycles, all with a three-month warranty at affordable prices. Keep your own bike on the road at our Fix Your Own Bike sessions or get your bike serviced by one of our mechanics. Learn bike maintenance at our training classes, or confident cycling with one of our cycling tutors.
Together, all three Bike Stations make up Scotland’s largest bicycle recycling organisation, taking in nearly 10,000 old and discarded bikes every year. Every bike donated supports our work promoting cycling.
